About this deal

You'll notice there are various points around to attach a strap - you'd welcome it if you were planning to carry it for any length of time. The N-Strike Elite Hyperfire Blaster is really easy to control, with an acceleration button/trigger to 'fire it up' and then a trigger to shoot. Thankfully, it comes almost completely built, with only the dart chamber and the batteries to be inserted. Challenging your friends to a battle with the Nerf N Strike Elite: Hyper-Fire Blaster proves a versatile choice. The age range is appropriate though, these darts don't half sting when they hit, and 6 year olds as a rule simply don't have the ability to be safe or accurate.

Editorial independence means being able to give an unbiased verdict about a product or company, with the avoidance of conflicts of interest. According to specifications, this product proves most recommended to children aged 8 years and older. There’s a secondary trigger you have to hold in with your middle finger, which gets the motor spinning up – then you can squeeze the main trigger to set the foam a-flying.I found it was jamming way too often compared to other full-auto blasters – my thumb got very sore priming my Hammershot as I fiddled around trying to get it unjammed on numerous occasions.

From there, it’s press one of the two triggers to get the Hyperfire ready, and press that firing trigger, then watch the darts fly…… Very easy set up, and very easy to use. This spinning action gives an effect similar to rifling in real fire-arms, giving you a tighter grouping and more predictable results. So, let’s pop some fresh batteries in, and see how it matches up to my favourite full-auto blaster, the RapidStrike. It weighs around four pounds fully laden, which is not too bad, but noticeably heavier than the Rapidstrike.

But if it fits you, it makes a fantastic full-auto blaster for covering or defensive roles in a NERF war. Hyperfire works as expected, and thats very well, the small 6 dart magazine has all 6 darts in and the dart condition is very good with only some slight markings on the back of the dart.So while the Hyperfire’s technical performance is excellent, I found the practicalities let it down. Without all of that nasty orange plastic in the way we can get a clear view of how the electrical system is layed out.
